UK Construction Week will be taking place in Birmingham at the beginning of next month.

The event, being held at the NEC on Tuesday 8th – Thursday 10th October, provides the perfect opportunity for anybody within the construction industry to check out the latest solutions from across all areas of the sector, learn from thought-leaders in expert presentation sessions and form relationships with a number of colleagues from across the field.

Themes for this year’s event include modern methods of communication (MMC), sustainability, diversity in the workforce, risk management and the digital revolution, with particular focus on innovation, projects, learning and networking.

Making its debut at UK Construction Week 2019 is the brand new Innovation Zone – providing an inspirational space where visitors can explore new ideas – which will be featured alongside the Innovation Hub, where people can see its recently launched Platform Design initiative, encouraging innovation in offsite construction for a range of projects, including schools, hospitals and prisons.

Also included at this year’s event are demonstrations of Semblr’s bricklaying robots, JCB’s latest electric products – including an emission-free forklift – and ITI’s virtual reality crane simulator. There will also be a wide range of discussions focusing on new solutions, integrating new technology, maintaining high standards and a 2020 economic forecast.
