An incredible turnout at the Effingham Park hotel, where more than 450 guests attended the 5th edition of the ProDriver QSi Awards.
An evening to celebrate the industry’s finest, the QSi (Quality, Service and Innovation) Awards, organised by Professional Driver Magazine, are the only national awards for the UK’s Private Hire and Chauffeur Industry
Plan Insurance Brokers were honoured to sponsor a Champagne Reception and the prestigious Community Awards.
The Gold Community Award 2017 went to Street Cars of Manchester, for their outstanding commitment to the city and its residents.
From providing free taxis to voters on election day, to paying for food at the local mosque during Ramadan, helping out charities and providing work placements for local young people, Street Cars really are going the extra mile for their community. They are also the go-to taxi firm for Manchester’s LBGT community, and support both Manchester United and Manchester City, as well as local youth football team Athletico Failsworth. Outstanding achievements, and a very well deserved award, congratulations again!
GLH of London took the Silver, for their engagement with local sports teams and schools, and their help in organising local community events. GLH had a great night, as they also took the Gold Marketing award, and their driver Marc Brodie won the very coveted Driver of the Year award. Well done, team GLH!
The Bronze this year went to Solway Private Hire of Silloth, Cumbria. Solway are an incredible support to their community – and previous gold winners in 2014, 2015 and 2016 – providing vital transportation for the residents of their remote town. A very deserving Bronze winner, and we are certain that they’ll aim to get the Gold back next year!
After the awards, the guests had a chance to admire a few of the most amazing cars on the market at the moment – the new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, the latest Range Rover Evoque, the incredible Audi A8 and of course, the top of the class, Mercedes Class S Coupe – we certainly enjoyed testing the massaging seats!
After a few rounds of Black Jack, it was soon time to leave the party, but not without a Plan goodie bag! This fifth edition of the Awards was a great success, and a good time was had by all, while recognising and rewarding the best private hire operators, chauffeur firms and drivers in the UK. We are looking forward to the QSi Awards 2018 Edition!
