On the 9th and 10th May 2018, Plan Insurance Brokers attended the PHTM Exhibition in Milton Keynes. We welcomed many visitors on our stand, who enjoyed a free coffee and a chat about how we can help with their private hire and taxi insurance.

Exhibitors

Dozens of industry professionals catering for the needs of the trade: Drivertax and EaziLegal, for all your accounting and legal needs, GasCab, who offer LPG conversions to turn older TXs into low emissions vehicles, the LPHCA (Licensed Private Hire Car Association), Trinity College London, who provide ISE  / B1 SELT Language Courses and Tests,  and LEVC – with TX, their brand new electric taxi, to name but a few.
Of course, manufacturers were also present with their flagship vehicles, like Mercedes and their new new Euro 6 Vito Taxi. Technology was very much part of the show, with a number of apps and platforms attending, like iCabbi or Karhoo.

Industry Leaders and Seminars

A number of seminars led by industry experts took place over the two days, on a variety of current and relevant subjects such as EVs and charging points, GDPR & data protection, and a keynote from James Button, President of the Institute of Licensing.
Attendance was high and the guests welcomed the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A forum. Such events are always a great platform to discuss issues such as enforcement, cross-border hiring, booking platforms, driver employment status and so on.
