Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017 – Another edition packed with action, innovation, astounding performances and vintage jewels!
With the summer sun basting Lord March’s 12,000 acres of glorious Sussex countryside, and a heavily packed line-up, the iconic Festival of Speed was this year once again promising to deliver.
Ferrari’s 70th Anniversary
Goodwood FOS 2017 was marked by the celebration of Ferrari’s 70th anniversary. This brought the festival to new heights, with an astonishing installation by sculptor Gerry Judah.
On the front lawn of Goodwood House, five of Bernie Ecclestone’s own cars (representing the five stages of his career) were suspended high above the crowd at impossible angles.
London Taxi Company’s Electric Cab unveiled
One of the highlights, for us, wasn’t about the deafening roar of a supercharged V8 engine, though. It was the silence. The mesmerising silence of the brand new LTC electric London cab, extended range TX5 going up the hill. And this was a very exciting debut, we can’t wait to see those on the roads of the Capital!

McLaren goes plastic…
If McLaren’s new £125,000 570S Spider was undeniably one of the stars of the show, we can’t help but think that the buzz was really about its plastic twin: a full-size model made entirely out of Lego, and built over the weekend.
We wouldn’t mind getting one of these, the illusion is impressive!
