For the second time this year Plan will be getting a car to rally from this country to another in a bid to raise money for a valued charity.
This time we will be driving a VW Bug for the Car Dealer’s annual Bangers for BEN 2016!
We are one of the 50 teams who will be driving through France to Marenello in Italy in a banger costing less than the £750 budget, to raise money for the BEN automotive charity.
With the theme for this year’s event being Ferrari and Italy, we have been getting creative in the office for our banger’s design. We’ve even been asking you for your opinions on what to wrap our vehicle of choice in.
The design idea came from Plan Director, Scott Georgiades, who was extra excited about this project – combining the famous Baguette from France with the famous Italian dish! And what better car to do it on than a VW bug.
We simply took something quintessentially French, mixed it with an Italian masterpiece and sprinkled it with German seasoning to produce a gastronomic feast for the eyes. Plan Insurance Brokers present the VW #BUGETTI!

Our #BUGETTI is nearing its final design stages, with the car wrap booked in and a giant fork being sculpted ready for October, we’re looking forward to seeing the final result – and the chosen fancy dress!
We have been assured that the fork will be firmly attached with no chance of any stray spaghetti or cutlery falling off on the Bangers4BEN journey!
At the end of the event, our #BUGETTI will be donated to BEN to be auctioned off to raise further funds for the charity.
